Questions people ask before they book

How much space do you need?

A clear area about seven by ten feet: the table is roughly six feet long and the therapist needs to walk around it. A living room with the coffee table pushed aside works, and so does a bedroom with space on both sides of the bed. If it’s tight, mention it in the booking notes and the therapist will plan for it.

What does the therapist bring?

Everything: a portable table, fresh linens, a face cradle, oils or lotion, and a small speaker if you’d like music. You don’t need to supply anything. Setup and takedown take about five minutes each and aren’t counted against your booked time.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel or reschedule free up to 24 hours before your appointment. Inside 24 hours, or if you’re not home when the therapist arrives, the prepayment is kept and your therapist is paid for the visit. The reschedule link is in your confirmation text and email.

What if my therapist cancels?

It’s rare, because therapists only accept bookings they can keep. If it happens, the system offers your appointment to the next qualified therapist right away and you get a text with the new name, photo and license. If nobody can cover it, you get a full refund and a message from us, not silence.

Can I choose a male or female therapist?

Yes. Book on the female therapist page or the male therapist page and you’ll only see times that a therapist of that choice can cover. Choosing “no preference” on the main booking page opens up the most slots.

Do you come to hotels?

Yes, all over Houston. Book with the hotel’s address and your room number in the notes. The therapist checks in at the front desk with your name, so a heads-up to the desk helps; some hotels ask for it.

How do I tip?

After the session, not before. About an hour after your therapist leaves you’ll get a text with a one-tap tip option, 18%, 20%, 22% or your own amount, paid by card straight to them; cash on the spot is fine too. Nothing is added to your bill automatically, and 100% of the tip goes to your therapist, who also keeps half of what you paid for the session. Eighteen to twenty percent is typical if you’re wondering what people do.

What does “vetted” mean?

Every therapist is interviewed by Morgan Sutherland, a Massachusetts-licensed massage therapist with 25 years of orthopedic and medical massage experience and a Certified Dementia Practitioner. He verifies the license with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, confirms current liability insurance, and gets a paid chair session from each therapist before they take a booking. Nobody is on the roster because they filled out a form.

Are your therapists licensed and insured?

Yes, without exception. Each therapist holds a current license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and carries their own professional liability insurance. You get a link to their license record with your confirmation text.

Can I book the same therapist again?

Yes. When you book, choose their name from the therapist list and you’ll see only their available times. If they’re fully booked, “no preference” will get you the next opening with another vetted therapist.

Do you do couples?

Yes. A couples massage is two therapists, two tables and one prepaid booking, $320 for 60 minutes side by side. Because it needs two schedules to line up, book a few days ahead when you can.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes, in 60-minute, 90-minute and couples amounts, or any dollar value. The recipient gets a code by email and enters it on the booking page. See the gift cards page.

What areas do you serve?

Memorial City, Katy, the Galleria, Downtown, the Energy Corridor, Sugar Land, Pearland and The Woodlands, plus hotels across the city. Travel is included everywhere we serve; there’s no travel fee. If your address is further out than the areas above, book anyway and the system will tell you whether a therapist can reach you.

What if I’m not happy with my massage?

Tell us. The morning after your appointment you get a text asking how it went, and replies go straight to Morgan, not a call center. If the fit was off, too light, too much talking, not enough time where you needed it, your next session is with a therapist matched to what you told us, with $25 toward it. If something went wrong on our side, a late arrival or a session cut short, we refund what you lost, the same day, without a debate.

Is this medical massage? Can you work with my post-op recovery?

We do medical and orthopedic massage for back pain, sciatica, posture and post-surgical recovery. Post-op work needs written clearance from your surgeon first; put the surgery and date in the intake and the therapist will ask for the clearance before working on that area. Massage supports recovery; it doesn’t replace your physical therapist or your doctor.
